Uzbekistan's chemical imports from Turkey grows

Turkey has exported chemical products worth over $67.1 million to Uzbekistan from January through March 2021, which is a 19.5 percent growth compared to the same period of last year, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend on Apr.19.

According to the ministry, in March of this year, Turkish exports of chemical products to Uzbekistan was by 7.3 percent more than in the same month of 2020, amounting to $23.5 million.

The exports of chemical products from Turkey to global markets had increased by 14 percent in the first quarter of the 2021 year on year, surpassing $5.3 billion.

In March 2021, Turkey exported chemical products worth $2 billion to international markets, which is 34.5 percent more compared to March 2020.

Over the past 12 months (from March 2020 through March 2021), Turkey’s exports of chemical products made up $18.9 billion, added the ministry.
