The cargo turnover of Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport from January through August 2021 increased by 31 percent and amounted to 164,735 tons, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports via Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.
The cargo turnover on domestic flights from January through August 2021 totaled 84,972 tons (an increase of 49 percent compared to the same period of 2020), on international flights - 79,763 tons (an increase of 16 percent).
Passenger traffic at the airport amounted to 14.9 million people, which is 41 percent less than in 2020. Passenger traffic on domestic flights amounted to 10.2 million people (an increase of 44 percent), on international flights – 4.6 million people (an increase of 35 percent).
The number of flights performed was 110,160, which is 44 percent more than over the same period of 2020. The number of domestic flights was 70,631 (an increase of 42 percent), international flights- 39,529 (an increase of 47 percent).
Passenger traffic at all airports in Turkey from January through August 2021 amounted to 75.5 million people, and cargo turnover – 2 million tons.
