As many as 6,796 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish Zonguldak port to the Ukrainian port of Chernomorsk from January through September 2021, and 5,644 in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Thus, the total number of vehicles transported between the two ports in the reporting period amounted to 12,440.
Turkish ports handled over 1.5 million vehicles in the first nine months of 2021.
Ro-Ro ships delivered 933,445 vehicles to Turkish ports during the reporting period.
Some 572,609 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships in 9M2021.
In September of this year, Turkish ports handled a total of 160,501 vehicles, and Ro-Ro ships delivered 107,192 vehicles to the ports.
