Some 8.3 million tons of cargo were transshipped via the Turkish Zonguldak port during the first nine months of 2021, Turkey’s Transport and Infrastructure Ministry told Trend.
According to the ministry, ships flying the Turkish flag transported 403,357 tons of cargo while ships flying the flags of other countries – 7.9 million tons via Zonguldak port for the reporting period.
No cargo was transited through the port from January through September 2021, the ministry said.
Over 286.3 million tons were transshipped through the Turkish ports from January through September 2021.
The ships flying the Turkish flag handled over 22.2 million tons of goods.
Some 263.8 million tons of cargo were transshipped via Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of other countries, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, more than 57 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports.
Some 32.9 million tons of cargo were transshipped through the Turkish ports in September 2021.
The ships flying the Turkish flag transshipped over 2.4 million tons of cargo while by ships flying the flags of other countries – 30.5 million tons in September 2021.
Meanwhile, over 6.8 million tons of goods were transited through the Turkish ports.
