Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina to hold second business forum

A joint business forum will be held in the city of Banja Luka on February 18 within the Azerbaijani delegation’s visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) said on Saturday.

A joint business forum will be held in the city of Banja Luka on February 18 within the Azerbaijani delegation's visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) said on Saturday.

The business delegation's two-day visit has been organized by AZPROMO and supported by the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry.

According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina as of 2012 amounted to $286,940 and reduced by 27.5 percent compared to 2011. Goods worth $2,090 were exported from Azerbaijan for the first time in April 2012.

The main purpose of holding the meetings is to establish contacts and to promote the development of trade relations.

The electric power sector was called as one of the most promising sectors for making investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the first business forum in Baku in October 2012.
