Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran is ready to treat and render medical aid to Brazilian Ex-President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Ahmadinejad in a letter to Mr. da Silva said Iran is keen to render every assistance, whishing him a rapid recovery.

"You are one of the influential leaders in Brazil and international community to bring the peace and justice to the world," he said.

Lula da Silva is suffering of cancer and is under treatment.

His doctors have said his chances of recovery from cancer are "very good", BBC reported on Nov.16.

Da Silva has completed the first chemotherapy session without complications and is due to have three more by the end of the year before beginning radiation therapy.

Lula, 66, stepped down last year after two terms as president with record approval ratings.
