35-year-old sergeant major Nurettin Ozturk was killed while a lieutenant was injured in clashes between the PKK and Turkish security forces in Kars, east Turkey

35-year-old sergeant major Nurettin Ozturk was killed while a lieutenant was injured in clashes between the PKK and Turkish security forces in Kars, east Turkey, Hurriyet Daily News reported.

In clashes in the Karakale and Kagızman districts numerous PKK members were also killed, according to local news sources.
