On 30 August at 21:30 am, an escape attempt was made from Prison No. 5 located in Halaj Village of Salyan district of Azerbaijan. The prisoners attempting to escape were Amirov Emin Agahan oglu born in 1984 and Jafarov Sakit Zakir oglu born in 1986 and arrested for desertion, Regional Correspondent of Trend reports.
The prisoners were able to climb over two barriers, but were arrested by the soldiers at the final barrier.
As a result, one of the prisoners were shot and wounded and was immediately transported to one of the Baku hospitals.
Both prisoners are residents of the Lankaran District.
The representatives of the Department on Implementation of Court Resolutions are investigating the matter.
