Azerbaijan will continue the evacuation of remaining nationals in Yemen.
Azerbaijan's embassy in Yemen continues to coordinate the work with Russia's embassy in that country to evacuate another group of Azerbaijani nationals, the head of the Azerbaijani foreign ministry's press service, Hikmet Hajiyev, told Trend on Apr. 4.
"Azerbaijan expresses its gratitude to the Russian side for its assistance in this matter," he said.
Russia's embassy in Yemen has already rendered support to the Azerbaijani embassy in the evacuation of the first group of the citizens of Azerbaijan.
Hajiyev said Turkey also offered its assistance in this matter, and Azerbaijan thanks the Turkish side for this.
There were about 20 Azerbaijani nationals in Yemen; seven of them were on the consular register at the embassy.
Under an instruction from Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, the country's embassy in Yemen continues keeping in contact with the Azerbaijanis in that country.
A "hot line" was also opened in the embassy in connection with the developments in Yemen.
