SUMGAYIT, Azerbaijan, October 24. Kartas Kimya LLC and Chinar-Service production and commercial firm are planned to be launched in Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park in late 2024–early 2025, chairman of the Board of the Economic Zones Development Agency, Elshad Nuriyev told reporters, Trend reports.

"At the enterprise located on the territory of two hectares, Chinar-Service plans to create 70 new jobs and will produce compressed nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and liquid helium. It is assumed that the manufactured products, along with meeting the needs of the local market, will also be exported to Türkiye, Georgia and Russia. Kartas Kimya LLC will be built on an area of 2.5 hectares and is planned to create 250 permanent jobs. The products produced here will be sold on the domestic market as well as exported to Türkiye and CIS countries," Nuriyev said.

Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park was established by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated December 21, 2011. This is the first industrial park created in Azerbaijan. It is the largest in the South Caucasus.

In addition, on the territory of the industrial park, which has an area of 583.5 hectares, there are enterprises for the production and processing of competitive products in the petrochemical and other priority industries. Moreover, 38 business entities with a total investment volume of about 5.8 billion manat ($3.4 billion) received resident status in the park. Residents have invested more than 5.4 billion manat ($3.2 billion) in the industrial park to date. In general, 20 registered residents are already functioning.
