ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 2. Turkmenistan has taken third place among the Turkic countries in terms of the largest trade turnover with Azerbaijan over the past 10 years, Trend reports.
According to Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan from 2013 through 2022 amounted to about $1.61 billion.
Türkiye took first place in terms of the value of trade with Azerbaijan among the Turkic countries, at $32.86 billion, followed by Kazakhstan in second place with an amount of $2.35 billion.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan is followed in fourth place by Uzbekistan with a turnover value of $648.88 million, Hungary is in fifth place at $465.44 million, and Kyrgyzstan is in sixth place at $96 million.
Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan last year amounted to $535.39 million, which is 5 times more than in 2021 ($105 million) and 6 times more than in 2013 ($88.1 million).
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan increased by 1.8 times from January through October 2023, reaching $710.37 million, a remarkable increase from $377.23 million over the same period the previous year.
