BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 8. New productive horizons are expected to be opened at several hydrocarbon fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea by 2035, a representative of SOCAR Drilling Department, Asif Zengi said during the drilling conference in Baku organized by SOCAR and International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), Trend reports.
"Given the drilling plans for hydrocarbon fields and structures in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, we expect to discover new productive horizons (formations) in the next ten years," Zengi noted.
Among the major drilling works in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, he named works on bp projects, as well as individual works on SOCAR's oil and gas production directorates.
According to him, SOCAR complies with the new green norms within the framework of drilling works.
