Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has received the delegation headed by Sudan's Presidential Assistant Nafi Ali Nafi, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry said today.
Mammadyarov expressed satisfaction with bilateral relations and stressed broad potential for expanding the relations between the two countries in various fields. He stressed that mutual visits will contribute to the development of these relations.
The Minister informed the guest about the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan, the negotiations on the conflict settlement.
Nafi Ali Nafi thanked Azerbaijan for its support to his country, stressed the importance of expanding the relations between the two countries. He added that Sudan supports Azerbaijan's just position in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres.
Nafi Ali Nafi invited Mammadyarov to visit Sudan.
