Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug. 14 / Trend M. Aliyev /
Many young people were killed as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and it is a great loss for Azerbaijan, the special adviser to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Seri Shahidan said at a meeting of the youth wing of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties held in Baku.
Speaking of the Arab Spring, Shahidan said the events in Libya and Egypt have shown that young people sometimes act rashly, participating in such actions that lead to disorder with severe consequences including the loss of lives. "We have to warn young people against such actions," he said.
The Special Adviser expressed confidence that the Baku meeting will be fruitful.
"The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. This in turn provides them with opportunities for taking strong and important decisions from the point of view of future leaders," Shahidan said.
