Two Azerbaijanis Murdered in Moscow

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / The Head of the Moscow City Department of the Congress of the Russian Azerbaijanis (CRA), Ilgar Hajiyev, reported to Trend that two Azerbaijanis were shot during the evening of 30 August in Moscow.

According to the information by the Russian news agencies, at approximately 02:00 hours, gun shots were fired at two Azerbaijanis, 43 year old Safar Yusubov and 41 year old Shohrat Sariyev, at the garden of building 20/17 in Kosinski Street. One of them died in the car as a result of wounds received and the second was killed as he tried to flee from the car.

A criminal case has been filed and investigations are being held. A submachine gun AKC-74 and 10 cartridge-cases, as well as a cartridge clip of a TT pistol have been discovered at the scene. The cause of the incident and the identity of the murderers have not been found yet. According to witnesses, the offenders were wearing masks.

Hajiyev said that the murdered Azerbaijanis were working in the Moscow Cherkiz market. According to him, the dead body of another Azerbaijani was found near the Pokrov market and has been sent for examination to study the cause of death.
