Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 May / corr Trend S.Agayeva / Azerbaijan and Japan are eager to activate the political and economic cooperation. The prospects of cooperation will be discussed during the official visit of Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda to Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani embassy in Japan told Trend on 20 May.
The prime minister's visit is scheduled for autumn-winter. The talks are expected to focus on different directions of bilateral cooperation. Azerbaijan has always voiced its interests in the expansion of relations with Japan, invited the Japanese companies to invest in these fields.
Azerbaijan has been waiting for the Japanese Prime Minister's official visit for many years. However, due to frequent replacement in the government of this country the visit was numerously postponed.
