Azerbaijan, Baku, May 20 / Trend , J. Babayeva/ The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry oversees the issue of returning home 8 Azerbaijani citizens in the arrested Mira vessel in India.
Indian Foreign Ministry has allowed the staff including Azerbaijani citizens to go to shore after Mira will be towed to the shore, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Elkhan Polukhov told Trend .
Mira vessel owned by a Turkish company was sold by bank for the debts to the Indian government as scrap metal. But two more co-owners of the appeared who did not agree with the decision of the bank and filed a suit in court. The case is still in the Indian court and vessel will be held in the territorial waters of India until court issues a decision.
Eight Azerbaijani citizens are on board of Mira.
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Vagif Sadigov gave this information to relatives of the eight Azerbaijani citizens today.
Azerbaijani citizens are provided with documents and permission at the moment to return home, Polukhov said.
