Georgian President, Mikhail Saakashvili awarded Turkish Ambassador to Georgia, Ertan Tezgor, whose office term is expiring the Order of Honor.

Saakashvili thanked the ambassador for the work done in Georgia.

"Georgia and Turkey has a free trade regime and the turnover between the countries increased several times. Turkey and Georgia also have close political and economic partnership," the president added.

In his turn, the ambassador said that this order is a symbol of the Georgian-Turkish friendship. "Georgia has made considerable progress in its development during Mikhail Saakashvili's reign," Tezgor added.

"I want to say that Turkey will always be close and friendly country for Georgia," Tezgor said.
