Conservative Party leader Zviad Dzidziguri is against even considering the possibility of transfer of prisoners from Guantanamo Bay to the Georgian prisons.

The leader of the conservatives said at the today's briefing that during the visit to the U.S., the Georgian Foreign Minister, Grigol Vashadze met with the U.S. Special Envoy on Guantanamo Bay Daniel Fried to discuss this very issue.

"Decisions of this type should not be taken in the narrow circles. We believe that a hasty decision can change the foreign policy of Georgia, moreover, that the country faces serious challenges and it has many enemies," said Dzidziguri.

Conservatives appealed to the American side to include representatives of the Georgian opposition in the negotiation process.

"The solution of this type may involve the country in a new political conflict," said Dzidziguri.

The conservative leader answered the question whether he will turn to the Ombudsman asking for help, and said that the new ombudsman has to prove that he is worthy to occupy his post.
