The Christian Democrats have asked Interior Ministry representatives to attend a parliament session and explain the transfer of Guantanamo prisoners to Georgia.
The public should have more information about the matter, movement member Nika Laliashvili said in an interview. He hopes that these prisoners are less dangerous and do not threaten U.S. security.
The MP said that there were three types of prisoners in the Guantanamo prison: those who pose a threat to U.S. security, those who pose no threat but they are not allowed to return to their land and those whose lives are in danger in their own country.
