The presidents and the heads of state of Organization of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member countries will meet at a summit in Istanbul on Dec. 23, the Asia-Plus news agency reported.
The organization's website said a meeting of senior officials will be held on Dec. 20-21 before the summit.
An ECO Council of Ministers Meeting will also be held on Dec. 22.
In addition to the presidents and heads of state, ECO secretariat representatives and international organizations will attend the meetings. The last ECO summit was held in Tehran in March 2009.
The ECO is an intergovernmental regional organization formed by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey in 1985. It is the successor organization of the Regional Cooperation for Development. It includes Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
