Azerbaijani President kicks off Oguz trip (PHOTO)

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has kicked off his Oguz trip by visiting a monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and laying flowers at the monument.
The Head of State was informed about the landscaping and rebuilding work around the monument and the region.
President Ilham Aliyev has today opened a recreation and entertainment park in the country`s Oguz region.
The Head of State was informed construction of the park started in 2008. The total area of the park is 2 hectares. The park has ponds, five fountains, kids playground, 120-seat amphitheatre, decorative trees and flowering bushes.
President Ilham Aliyev also was informed about the Flag Square in the Heydar Aliyev Avenue.
The construction of the Flag Square started in August, 2011. The facility covers 1,000 square meters.
The flag flies on a pole 50 meters high and measures 15 by 7.5 meters. The modern lighting system was installed in the square. Then, the Head of State met with local residents.
