Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting on socio-economic development of the country on Friday, Ak Orda said.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister K.Masimov, Secretary of State M. Kul-Muhammed, Presidential Administration Head A.Musin, Deputy Head of Administration B.Maylybaev, Deputy Prime Minister E.Orynbaev, Minister of Economic Development and Trade B.Sagintayev, Finance Minister B.Zhamishev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection G.Abdykalykova, Minister of Education and Science B. Zhumagulov, Minister of Culture and Information D.Mynbay, Head of the Central Office of Nur Otan Party K.Aksakalov.
Opening the meeting, President Nazarbayev stressed that despite the uncertainty in the global economy and in foreign markets, positive dynamics of development of Kazakhstan's economy was ensured. The country's GDP growth hit 5.6 percent, real incomes increased by nearly 13 percent, wages increased by almost 12 percent. Inflation was 2.7 percent in January-June.
President Nazarbayev instructed the government to develop and approve a plan of realization of 20 orders on social modernization and ensure wide information support to the government activity on their realization. The President instructed Nur Otan Party Office together with the leadership of the party factions in the Majilis and Maslikhats to ensure active participation of MPs in the information work and realization of initiatives.
Summing up the meeting, the President said that personal responsibility for assigned tasks increases. It is important for every Kazakh citizen to understand the need for labor activity for their own and common good and prosperity.
