Several documents on trilateral cooperation will be presented for consideration by presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan during the Ashgabat summit of the three leaders.
The draft documents cover such spheres as energy, transport, economy, trade, customs, education, science and humanitarian sphere, a diplomatic source told Trend July 27.
The agenda of a meeting of the three countries’ FMs, held in Baku in mid-July, also included the issue on strengthening the contractual and legal base between the three countries in order to solve issues of cooperation in all spheres.
The three countries’ foreign ministers discussed the issues of development of cooperation in political, economic, energy, transport and humanitarian spheres, implementation of regional projects, and agreed upon their positions on draft documents that will be presented for the signing the three presidents during the upcoming summit.
It should be noted that the Ashgabat summit of presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan is planned to be held until the end of 2017. This is the first summit in the Azerbaijan-Turkey-Turkmenistan format.
Currently, there are such trilateral formats in the region as Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey and Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran.
