A solemn closing ceremony of the Azerbaijani year in Russia was held at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow on Monday 26. First Deputy Premier Dmitriy Medvedev was in attendance. The even considerably improved the relationships between the two countries, he underlined.

As to economy, Medvedev said that over the past year the goods turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan exceeded $1bn. The Year of Russia in Azerbaijan will also be opened by the Presidents of the two countries as it was a year ago on 16 Feb.
