The Russian President Vladimir Putin made a statement that the level of the confidence in relations between Azerbaijan and Russia has increased over the past years, and voiced his desire that he will hold in Moscow an informal meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev soon.
Over the past years, there have been many changes in Russian-Azerbaijani relations, from the point of view of raise of confidence and increase of economic relations which expand in different directions, but not only in energy sector, told Putin while receiving the new Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasili Istratov, who will arrive in Baku.
Putin voiced his desire that this tendency would be supported by the ambassador not only in the sphere of interaction in the economy, but also in humanitarian sphere.
