In result of the operative-investigation measures held by the National Security Ministry of Azerbaijan (NSM), a transnational gang involved in the contraband of the drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was discovered, Trend reports with reference to the Public Relations Department of the NSM.
The resident of Baku Nazarov Gadir and his brother, the resident of Jallabad district Nazarov Magsud were detained in Baku, and nearly 19 kg of hashish was revealed in the bags belonging to them.
It became clear that Nazarov Gadir ordered these drugs to the Iranian citizen, whose personality is being defined at present. Gadir sent his brother Magsud to Jallabad district to deliver ordered drugs to Baku. Magsud received the drugs from the Iranian citizen through Iranian-Azerbaijani state border and came back to Baku. On the same day he met with Gadir and while they both were detained while going to the house of Gadir.
Criminal cases were raised in the NSM in accordance with the article 206.4 (contraband of drugs with organized gang), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (illegal acquisition, keeping, delivery, dispatch and sale of the drugs though organized gang) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic.
