Azerbaijan International Bank (AIB) intends to carry our very serious plans in Georgia, the Georgian Minister of Economy Irakli Chogovadze told Trend Special Correspondent in Tbilisi.
According to him, the Georgian Government ensured the appeal of the Ministry and directly sold a real estate (for $4 mln) to the Azerbaijan International Bank in the center of Tbilisi.
It is a very good amount taking into consideration that the plans of the Azerbaijani bank will increase repeatedly, the Minister stressed.
The building is located in 65 Kostava street, with 1398 square meters of land. It is very important for us to attract the investments of the Azerbaijani state-owned bank in the economy of Georgia, Chogovadze underlined. He stressed that Azerbaijan International Bank will begin its activities in Georgia from 1 January 2007.
