In January to November 2006 a total of 5219.5mln new manats ($5999.4mln on average exchange rate of 0.87 AZN per 1 USD), has been invested in the Azerbaijani economy, which is 15.2% up as compared to the amount of investments put in 2005.

In November 2006, 469.4mln AZN ($539.5mln) of capital investments has been invested in the Azerbaijani economy with a growth pace of 17.4% as compared to last year, while they dropped 5.5% as compared to September 2006.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 2230.1mln manats ($2563.3mln) has been invested at the expense of internal sources, or 47.6% more than 2006. Special weight of internal investments made up 42.7%. Foreign investments constituted 2989.4mln AZN ($3436.1m) with a drop of 1%.

Investments put in major capital at the expense of funds of enterprises and organizations made up 3,790mln manats (with 3.1% drop), banking credits вЂ" 332.9mln manats (177.2%), community funds вЂ" 274.7mln AZN (151.4% up), budget funds вЂ" 700.8mln manats (4.4 times), non-budgetary funds вЂ" 101.8mln manats (165.8%).

In compliance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 8 February 2006 it is planned to allocate 884.3m AZN for the implementation of construction work at the expense of the budget funds. Over the past 11 months of 2006 some 657.1mln manats, 74.3% of the sum was spent. Some 62.4% of la investments falls on construction and assembly work.

Investments directed at repair and construction work rose 9.6 and made 2681.6mln manats. 4,480,6mln manats (85.8%) has been directed for the construction of production facilities, while 738.9m manats (14.2%) вЂ" non-production facilities.
