Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr S. Aghayeva / Elmar Mammadyarov, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, reported during the meeting with Maria Kalivis, the Regional Director of the UNICEF, that 60% of the refugees and forced migrants of Azerbaijan driven out of their native land as a result of the Armenian aggression are children.
According to the data provided by the Press Centre of the Foreign Ministry the Minister stressed the high level of co-operation with UNICEF and informed an official of the organization about the work on the protection of the children's right carried out in Azerbaijan.
The Minister urged that the main income from the economic development is spent on education. Maria Kalivis positively estimated the measures undertaken by the Government on rehabilitating the children-refugees and their integration into society. The parties agreed upon further bilateral co-operation.
