Ahmadova / "Heydar Aliyev's contribution to Azerbaijan's integration into international system, as well as into strengthening of Azerbaijani statehood is invaluable," Fakhraddin Gourbanov, Azerbaijani ambassador to the U.K., said at the presentation of special issue of First magazine, dedicated to national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev.
Addressing the event held at the embassy of Azerbaijan in the U.K., the ambassador spoke about Heydar Aliyev's life.
Baroness Catein, as well as ambassadors accredited in London, representatives of diplomatic corps and local community, heads of Azerbaijan Diaspora in London attended the event.
Rupert Goodman, Director of First told about history of the magazine. "The magazine covers political and economical processes taking place in Azerbaijan," he said.
Goodman recalled his personal meetings with Heydar Aliyev and shared his impressions.
He said Azerbaijan occupies prominent place in Europe owing to Heydar Aliyev.
Baroness Catein also stressed Heydar Aliyev's significant role in the development of Azerbaijan. "Azerbaijan's has achieved tremendous development in every sphere," she said.
A film about life of national leader Heydar Aliyev was demonstrated during the event. Gunel Mirzayeva, laureate of international contest, played classic music.
