Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 10/ Trend , E. Rustamov/ Head of the Azerbaijani parliament's standing commission is dissatisfied with the pre-school education quality.
"Some 15 percent of children attend kindergartens in Azerbaijan while this figure surpasses 90 percent in Europe," head of the Azerbaijani parliament's Standing Education Commission Shamsaddin Hajiyev told reporters.
The newly adopted Law on Education stipulates compulsory pre-school education. It can cause problems due to lack of necessary infrastructure, Azerbaijani education minister Misir Mardanov said.
Azerbaijani parliament passed Law on Education in a second reading on Dec. 30, 2008.
This is a framework law. Different regulations including Education Credits and Secondary Comprehensive Education can be adopted once the Law is passed at a final reading.
