A criminal case under the Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Azerbaijan Criminal Code was filed in connection with the murder of a Russian officer, who served at the Gabala radar station.
The Republican Military Prosecutor's Office's Investigation Department said new criminal cases will be prosecuted under other articles in the course of the investigation in case of necessity.
An investigation team headed by First Deputy Military Prosecutor Shafaet Imranov has already been established to investigate the fact and the team is in Gabala at the moment.
Russian officer Sergey Grachev was killed by his colleague at the Gabala radar station on Dec. 31.
