Georgia will help Japan with drinking water and finances, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a Monday briefing.
"The Georgian side maintains close contacts with the Japanese diplomatic mission in Tbilisi," she said. "The mission told us to refrain from forms of assistance other than financial, as Japan does not have the necessary resources to receive humanitarian aid and rescue teams at this point. They also asked to help with drinking water. Georgia will send 45 tons of water to Japan," Kalandadze said.
