The premiere of a full-length feature film titled, "The Sky of My Childhood," about the country's first president took place in Astana, a Trend special correspondent in Astana reported.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev also attended the screening. He was met with a standing ovation.

The film was created based on Nazarbayev's works, "Without the Right and Left," "Epicenter of the World," and "In the Heart of Eurasia." The film tells the story of a boy named Sultan.
"The film is special, because it reflects the hero's fate. The fate ofany man can be interesting, but the fate of the head of state is certainly interesting -- what troubles he had in his childhood, how his parents were, how the country was at that moment. This is a large portrait of the epoch, not only of one boy's fate, but the fate of an entire generation," director Rustem Abdrashev said in an interview with journalists.
