Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova discussed a child's arrest recently at the Public Chamber's unauthorized rally on April 17.
"Parents should understand their responsibility. If he/she brings a child to an unauthorized rally, it may threaten the health of the child," Huseynova said at a press conference on Thursday.
The committee considered the matter, Huseynova said, and revealed that the police took the child and his mother from the rally to a safe place to ensure they wouldn't be injured.
Huseynova said Western countries impose penalties on parents for irresponsibility. Sometimes, children are taken away from their parents for this reason.
