Euronews TV channel intends to offer more coverage about Azerbaijan in the near future, Euronews Director General Michael Peters said on Tuesday during a teleconference in Baku whilst answering journalists' questions.

"I hope we can disseminate more information about Azerbaijan as a result of our cooperation with the public television network," Peters said.

He agreed with Azerbaijani journalists' remarks regarding dissemination of insufficient information about the Caucasus region, and stressed that there is no extensive information about the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Prior to the teleconference Peters told participants about the TV channel's activities and its strategy for further development. Work is underway to build a new Euronews building, he said.

Euronews broadcasts in 11 languages and will raise that to 13 in the future, Peters said.
He also said that there will be an opportunity to follow the TV channel news on mobile phones.
