The underprovided for mothers of soldiers will be provided with a monthly pension, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a speech at the congress of the ruling Justice and Development Party on Tuesday, Turkish TRT Haber TV channel reported.

"In 1942, Turkey adopted a law on assistance to underprovided families whose sons are doing military service, "however, this law has not been applied", Erdogan said.

According to him, underprovided mothers whose sons are in the army will be paid 250 Turkish Lira every month; local municipalities also will also be involved in the campaign.

According to the official information of the General Staff of Turkey, released in 2013, the personnel of the Armed Forces of Turkey numbers 678,617 people.

The Ground Forces, Air Force and Navy have 313 generals, Gendarmerie Forces - 33 generals, and the Coast Guard Forces - one general and one admiral.
