BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 2. Duzdag is located in the Kengerli district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, standing at an elevation of 1,153.8 meters.

Duzdag is renowned for its mineral springs, and the salt mines found here are famous for their healing properties. These natural resources are estimated to total around 90 million tons. Salt from Duzdag has been extracted on an industrial scale since 1927, with the underground salt mountain measuring 8.2 meters thick.

At the Duzdag Physiotherapy Center, established in 1979 in the former salt mines, individuals suffering from bronchial asthma and other nonspecific respiratory conditions receive treatment. The therapy's effectiveness is attributed to essential factors such as humidity, temperature, pressure, and the ionic composition of the air.
