SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, November 8. Schoolchildren in Azerbaijan’s Shusha marked November 8 - Victory Day, with a series of events celebrating the historic significance of the day, Principal of Shusha City Secondary School No. 1 Sabina Gozalova told Trend.
"It is truly heartwarming that today we are celebrating these events alongside the residents of Shusha. Our schoolchildren are showcasing their knowledge and skills with immense joy and pride during these activities in our school’s assembly hall. Of course, this is only the beginning. Today, we are filled with a profound sense of pride.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our martyrs, war veterans, and, of course, to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, who has gifted us this pride and this victory," she added.
The principal also touched on the future of education for the youth of Shusha and the responsibility that lies with the teaching staff.
"Undoubtedly, the younger generation, proud of this victory, will grow to be even more thoughtful and patriotic. As educators, we will do everything we can to ensure that every student in this school has a high level of intellect and deep literacy. In the coming years, our Victory Day celebrations will become even more spectacular and grand," she noted.
The event, organized in honor of Victory Day, was attended by city residents, employees of the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, MP Polad Bulbuloglu, and other public figures.
The event concluded with a literary and artistic performance that told the story of Shusha's history.
