Winter break at the Azerbaijani Championship will be opened from 13 January. The first round of the championship completed last week.
“The clubs can recruit new football-players till 10 February,” Malik Hassanov, the head of the AFFA Department for organization of competitions, told Trend. “In accordance with the rules of FIFA, the winter break may not be opened for over 4 weeks and we adhere the rule. As the second round will starts on 11 February, the teams can sign last contracts with new players till the start of the 14th round,” Hassanov stressed.
He also stressed that the clubs were eligible to activate break policy, but they could not register the football-players at AFFA till 13 January.
