Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / To investigate the appeals addressed to the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Elmira Suleymanova, the employees of the Office of Azerbaijan Ombudsman met with the Editor-in-Chief of Mukhalifet newspaper, Rovshan Kebirly and newspaper's Department Chief, Yashar Agazade, who are detained in the investigation isolator No 1 of the Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The representatives of Ombudsman Office were interested in the situation of arrested Agazade who has gone on hunger strike for already three days.
Jebirly and Agazade stated that they do not incur violence and periodically meet with their advocates. They stressed that they have made petition of appeal regarding unfair sentence of the court. The arrested journalists expressed dissatisfaction that they do not have free access to information.
Ombudsman Suleymanova charged the head of the isolator to hold medical examination of the journalists and provide them with newspapers.
