BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. The State Committee on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan held a regular auction for public property privatization on August 23, Trend reports via the ministry.
According to the ministry, 65 applications were accepted for one small state enterprise and 10 vehicles, and 19 applications were implemented electronically.
The privatized enterprise is Bunyad Sardarov Machine-Building Plant LLC. An enterprise with a total usable area of 58,472 square meters and a land plot of 117,787 square meters was privatized for over 14.48 million manat ($8.52 million).
As at previous auctions, the sale of vehicles was of great interest. The offer for one of the cars highly exceeded the starting price. A Volkswagen Passat car with a starting price of 4,000 manat ($2,352) was purchased for 5,850 manat ($3,441).
The next auction for the privatization of government property will be held on August 30.
