BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. The fees for all types of insurance in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic decreased by 21.3 percent as of 2021 compared to the same period last year, up to 4.5 million manat ($2.6 million), Trend reports citing a report of the State Statistics Committee of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to the report, the revenues obtained from voluntary insurance in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 1.01 million manat or $596,470 (a decrease of 7.4 percent over the year), while from compulsory insurance - 3.56 million manat or $2.09 million (decrease by 24.6 percent over the year).
Nakhchivan's GDP exceeded 2.22 billion manat ($1.33 billion) from January through September 2022, up by 2.5 percent on annual basis.
Meanwhile, GDP per capita in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 4,800 manat ($2,823), which was 3.1 percent more than from January through September 2021.
