An Uzbekistani-Spanish joint venture will be established in Akdarya district of Samarkand region in Uzbekistan to produce high-class steel structures for the assembly of modern greenhouse facilities, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo News Agency.
The corresponding agreement was reached during online negotiations between representatives of the Samarkand region administration and the management of the Spain's Nikami Enterprise.
This project is part of the investment strategy of the Nikami Enterprise and aims at the implementation of one of the items of the Memorandum signed in 2019 with the administration of Samarkand region.
"This is the third Nikami Enterprise project being implemented in Samarkand region. On May 11, 2020, the first joint venture Nikami Fenix Tech was registered at the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, which will implement two investment projects including construction of mini-power wind farm using water turbine technologies and production of modern high-protein feed for fish industry," the message said.
At present, the parties have prepared relevant documentation of the joint venture and identified a partner from the Uzbek side. The Spanish side is conducting feasibility study and selection of technical equipment and parts for delivery to Uzbekistan.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to register the next joint venture in early September 2020.
