Iran allocates land under National Housing Plan

About 3,000 hectares of land have been allocated in Iran so far for the construction of housing under the National Housing Plan, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development Ahmad Asghari Mehrabadi said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

Asghari Mehrabadi noted that a total of 1.04 million people were registered to own housing in the country under the National Housing Plan.

The deputy minister added that 195,000 of them were found to meet the conditions. About 125,000 people made payments within the plan.

“In addition, the allocation of land for the construction of 2,000 apartments is on the agenda,” he said.

Reportedly, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran is implementing the National Housing Plan for the construction of 400,000 apartments. According to the plan, the heads of families must register and have deposits of 300 million rials (about $7,140) in Bank Maskan.
