The Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan is ready to provide practical assistance to China in the implementation of the construction of a plant for the synthesis of drugs in the Navoi region, Trend reports referring to the ministry.
Minister of Innovative Development Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov held talks with representatives of the Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, during which representatives exchanged views on the implementation of a project to create a plant for the synthesis of drugs in the Navoi region.
According to the agreement between the Academy of Sciences of China and the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan on the creation of a plant for the synthesis of drugs in the Navoi region, after the introduction of investments in the amount of $10 million by the Chinese side and the launch of the plant.
It is noted that the plant will produce natural and chemical drugs, including against coronavirus worth $36.3 million a year.
At the moment, documents are being developed on the registration of an enterprise with the relevant authorities and membership in a free economic zone, appropriate work is underway to allocate a land plot, select a general contractor and a supplier of technological equipment, carry out construction and installation work, etc.
In addition, the Ministry of Innovative Development said that the implementation of this project in China is behind the approved schedule and stressed the need to accelerate construction.
“If necessary, the Ministry of Innovative Development is ready to provide practical assistance in the implementation of construction,” the message said.
