Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reported that the rate of the average monthly salary was AZN 175.5 in Azerbaijan from January-August, which is 27.7% more compared to the same period in 2006.
The highest salary was seen in the extractive industry, the financial sector, operations regarding property issues, rendering rent and consumer services, as well as in the construction sector.
During this period the average salary exceeded the average monthly income per capita by 46.9%.
The nominal income per head made up AZN 958 at 1 September, which exceeds the figure in January-August 2006 by 38.1%. The real income per head made up AZN 847.5 an increase of 39.7%.
The nominal income of the public totaled AZN 8089.2bln in January-August, which is 39.7% more compared to the same period in 2006. The real income of the public for this period made up AZN 7156.2bln which is an increase of 41.3%. The public spent 63.9% of its private income on goods and services in January-August, 11.5% social insurance and obligatory membership fees and 24.6% on accumulation and increase of capital.
