Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I.Khalilova / The Azerbaijan State Social Security Fund strengthened work over individual calculation of workers in the construction sector. Salim Muslimov, the chairman of the Fund, said on 13 November that during one month 972 workers were registered through the joint cooperation with the Construction Revision Agency of the Azerbaijani Emergency Situation Ministry. He considers that their number to increase to 3,000-5,000 by the end of 2007.
"This will enable to increase the remittances to the public budget and collection of necessary finances for pension provision of every worker," Muslimov said.
In accordance with the draft changes to the Tax Code of Azerbaijan, a worker who did not sign a contract with employer, will be fined in AZN 1,000 in 2008.
