Agenda for 11th Intergovernmental Meeting between Azerbaijan and Russia Specified

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / Azerbaijan and Russia specified the agenda of the 11th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. The meeting will be held in Moscow on 13 December, Yuri Shedrin, a Russian trade representative in Azerbaijan, said.

The agenda includes consideration of the current state and prospects of development of bilateral trade-economic relations particularly issues concerning transport, communication, information technologies, settlement of property problems, as well as implementation of measures for the Long-term Economic Development Cooperation program between Azerbaijan and Russia for 2010.

The only property problem is the building in Russia where the Azerbaijani embassy is located.

Synchronization of Azerbaijani, Russian and Iranian energy systems with further electric energy cross-flow to Turkey is one of the key issues between the countries.

The Azerbaijani and Russian governments must reconsider measures directed at implementation of long-term programs signed in 2002. Some tasks of the program have been resolved.

Viktor Spasski, the director of the Economic Cooperation Department on CIS countries of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, will take part in the meeting.

Azerbaijan will be represented by the first Vice-Prime, Yagub Eyyubov, and Russia by the Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko.
